Sofra Restaurant Booking System

Overview

We built a custom booking system for a restaurant group with three branches, including a seasonal North Coast location. Guests book a table online by choosing a branch, time and party size, then receive an automatic confirmation and reminder. Each branch team gets an interactive floor map to manage bookings and walk-ins, plus reports on peak hours and occupancy.

The challenge

Bookings were taken by phone and written in paper logs, causing double bookings and frequent no-shows. Management also found it hard to compare branches or plan staffing for peak times.

The solution

We built a system that calculates available tables automatically from each branch's capacity and seating duration, with optional deposits for large parties. Confirmation and reminder messages go out before each booking, and a waitlist handles walk-ins. A central dashboard compares branches and highlights peak hours to help plan staffing.
